Sometimes beginners are afraid of performing identity verification in Google Adsense, sending their passport or other identity verification documents. However, there is no matter to be afraid of here. Google Adsense allows each person to open an account only once. One person cannot have two or more Google Adsense accounts. Identity verification must be performed both for this reason and to clarify to whom the earned income belongs. The purpose here is entirely to protect the account owner’s earnings and ensure their security. For that reason, you must verify your identity in Google Adsense. Besides this, the account owner’s address must also be verified. This is to ensure that payments are sent to the correct person and the correct address.
What happens if I do not perform identity and address verification in Google Adsense?
When there is 10 dollars of earnings in your Google Adsense account, the system will request you to verify your identity and your address. You must verify your identity and your address within three months. If you do not perform identity verification, your advertisements will be blocked and consequently your money-making will be stopped. - Ensure that the validity period of the document you will send (passport, driver’s license, any document verifying identity within the country) has not expired.
- Instead of taking a photo of the document with a phone, get a clearer image by passing it through a scanner. Thus, reading the document becomes easier and it is verified faster.
- The first name and last name in the document you will send must be the same as the account owner’s first name and last name. Otherwise, the system will not verify your identity.
- It is mandatory that you are over 18 years old. If you are under 18 years old, you must open an account in the name of one of your family members and send that person’s document.
If you pay attention to all of these, you will have verified your identity very easily. After sending the document for verification, you will receive feedback within 2 weeks. Usually, an answer arrives within three or four days. However, do not worry if an answer does not arrive within three or four days. Be patient and wait. Performing address verification in Google Adsense. Receiving the Pin code in Google Adsense
Verifying the address in Google Adsense may take some time. Because the codes sent by Google Adsense do not arrive in some countries or cities. This leads to the delay of address verification and consequently the blocking of advertisements. You can request a pin code 4 times from Google Adsense. If the requested pin code does not arrive, you can verify your address with the methods shown in the article titled Eliminating Google Adsense pin code verification problem. I recommend you to pay attention to the following while verifying the address in your Google Adsense account.
- Pay attention that your address information such as “city, street, building, apartment” is written correctly.
- Record your postal code correctly.
- Definitely record the recipient person’s name correctly.
- In the case that you do not receive a pin code, do not write any code. (Your account will be blocked)
Attention: The pin code is sent to your address by Google Adsense via direct mail inside an envelope in the form of a letter. As long as you do not receive the envelope, do not write any code in the pin code section in your Google Adsense account. Writing an incorrect code may lead to deeper problems in the verification of your address.
