Free Google AdSense Monetization Course – Lesson 4

If you have a website and you want to earn money from this site with AdSense ads, you must place your advertisement code on the site. These codes are HTML/JavaScript snippets provided to you by AdSense. These codes are necessary for the placement of auto ads on your website. That is, after placing the code on the site, Google does all the work on your behalf. There is no need to place ads every time. AdSense codes both control the automatic publishing of ads on the site and protect the transparency of these ads. The main matter is to place these codes in the right place in the right way on the site.

Depending on which infrastructure you opened your website with, placing the codes differs. Below, I explained how it is necessary to place advertisement codes on your site. You can also obtain more detailed information about AdSense codes from the official article written by Google AdSense. Click here to read that article.

Placing AdSense advertisement codes on the website does not mean everything yet. There are tasks you must do for your site to receive approval. After placing the codes on the site, AdSense will review your site. If it is suitable for AdSense program policies, your site will be accepted and you will be able to earn money by showing ads on the site. There are many points you must pay attention to in order to get the site approved in AdSense. You can learn everything you need to pay attention to from our lesson 10 golden rules of getting approval from AdSense for a website.

Placement of AdSense codes on a site opened with Blogger.com

Sites created with Blogger can also apply for Google AdSense ads. Two main methods exist to associate the site with AdSense. These methods help to prepare the site more correctly for the approval process and to show the ads without problems. Which method you will use mainly depends on your site’s domain type and your technical knowledge level.

First method to associate AdSense with Blogger.com

In the first method, it is to connect the site to your AdSense account directly through the Blogger admin panel without adding any code. This method is especially for sites used from the blogspot.com domain. If your site operates with the blogspot.com domain, usually, for making an application to AdSense, it is required for the site to be active for at least 6 months and for regular shares to be made during this period.

Second method to associate AdSense with Blogger.com

The second method is to place the advertisement code provided by AdSense into the HTML part of the site (between the theme codes). If your site is established on a top-level domain (for example, .com, .net, .org), it is recommended that you use this method. If you are using a top-level domain, this period is shorter and it is possible to make an application approximately 1 month after the opening of the site. In the video below, you can learn step-by-step how you will correctly associate your site with Google AdSense over Blogger. Through the video, you will understand the process more clearly and will be able to prevent errors while applying.

Adding a website opened with WordPress to AdSense

Websites created with WordPress can also easily earn money from AdSense by participating in the Google AdSense program. For this, mainly two methods are used: in the first method, the approval and advertisement code provided by AdSense is added to the <head> part of the site (via theme files or a special plugin), and in the second method, this process is performed more simply and without technical intervention with ad management plugins. In the explained video located below, you can watch step-by-step how you will correctly add your WordPress site to AdSense.

As a result, the correct placement of Google AdSense codes on your website is one of the most important steps of obtaining online income. Whether you use the Blogger or WordPress platform, the main goal is to place the codes in the right place and to prepare the site in accordance with AdSense rules. Do not forget that quality content, user experience, and technical accuracy play a decisive role in the approval process. If you comply with these rules, you can successfully get your site approved and start obtaining regular income.
